List Price and NPD moratorium

As we head into the peak trading season, we wanted to give you a heads up about our annual moratorium on list price changes and new product launches. The moratorium means our store teams can focus on their customers and selling as much of your product as possible through the busy summer season.

Of course, we will continue to comply with its Grocery Supply Code obligations in relation to list price changes. For this particularly busy period, we will respond within the usual time frames.  We ask however for your understanding in working with us around the moratorium dates and implementing agreed list price changes.

Given our list price change process, we wanted to notify you now so you can plan ahead. When planning your list price changes and product launches, please plan the scheduled implementation date outside the moratorium dates below. The price moratorium doesn’t apply to normal mutually agreed promotional pricing.

2024 moratorium dates

List price adjustments: Monday 25 November 2024 until Sunday 2nd February 2025

The closing date to confirm any pricing adjustments that have a proposed effective date in 2024 is Friday 13th September 2024, which provides 10 weeks to implement agreed changes. Then the first effective date for price changes following the moratorium is Monday 3rd February 2025.

New product launches (NPL): Monday 25 November 2024 until Sunday 12 January 2025

If you want to launch any new products to the market during this period, please check in with your Category Manager to work through this. The first effective date for NPL following the moratorium is Monday 13 January 2025.

As always, thank you for your continued partnership and support. We’re looking forward to a great summer trading season ahead.
